Ultimately how we price our compensation depends on your event requirements and event type - whether you need event coordination or event planning, whether your event is a one-evening event or a week-long event.
Your proposal will include a general breakdown of our responsibilities, ideas, and estimated compensation.
In the end we usually charge our fees in one of two ways:

Flat Fee
This type of compensation is generally used for events that only require event coordination.

For instance : In 2005 a client hired us for our event coordination services. They were holding an employee appreciation luncheon for roughly 125 guests on an auturmn Sunday afternoon. They had already hired their vendors, established an ambience, and decided on event details. Our services were acquired eight months in advance to coordinate the event - communicate with vendors, execute the details, anticipate problems. One month before the event we stepped in to complete the finishing details in order to ensure a seamless afternoon for the luncheon's guests. For this we charged a flat fee of $1,000.

Percentage Fee
This type of compensation is calculated off of either budget or profit numbers, depending on event type. Most of our event planning services use percentage fees and can range from 8% to 15%.

For instance : In 2006 a client hired us for our event planning and travel services. They were rewarding three of their best salespersons and their significant others with a relaxing week-long trip to Oahu, Hawaii. In order to ensure the maximum enjoyment, relaxation, and service of all employees this was an on-site project for us.
We created an entire vacation based on each salespersons' criteria and preferences - whether they were looking for romance, relaxation, or adventure. We created different transportation schedules and experience itineraries for every couple in order to accommodate their wants and desires. For this we charged 15% of the total company budget - our client also paid for our transportation and lodging in Oahu.
